For best results, you might want to review this chapter after you have read the rest of the book.

As you read this chapter, keep in mind that even though the practices described here are generally accepted best practices, there will always be certain cases where the best thing to do is not follow the best practice. We try to point out the most common examples of this here and in the best practices discussions in the chapters that follow.
