Ccnclusion
Excel is only one part of the Office suite of applications. Although its data handling, word processing and presentation features are usually sufficient for many applications, we can often add a great deal of value to our applications by controlling some of the other components of the Office suite.
The easiest way to control the other Office applications is to have a pre-prepared template database, document or presentation that we open, modify and save; all the examples in this chapter do exactly that.
This chapter has barely scratched the surface of each application's object model, only describing the object models in sufficient detail for you to understand the sample code and get started using them. We can achieve some impressive results with only a little knowledge of the objects, so learning to automate the other Office applications is not as daunting a prospect as it first appears.
