With Visual FoxPro 6.0, Microsoft shipped a set of more than 100 classes called the "Fox Foundation Classes." The Fox Foundation Classes can be used as a class library or through the Visual FoxPro Application Wizard. The overall quality of these classes was a positive surprise to me. I expected to find a couple of classes that would be useful for entry-level programmers, but instead I found a set of classes that were rather powerful—and I incorporated a number of them into my applications right away.
